JOB TITLE:
Jr. Network Engineer / Systems Engineer
Cisco, VMware, Linux, OS X, Windows
JOB LOCATION: Las Vegas, NV

You will be working with the operations team at MacStadium/Macminicolo on a variety of server and network hardware in a Service Provider / IAAS / Data-center & Hosting environment. You will also support customers as a Tier 2 engineer where more advanced incidents are escalated.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Design, configure, deploy, and maintain Cisco network Infrastructure:
• Cisco Ethernet Switches: Catalyst 3700, 4900, 6500 & Nexus 3K,5K,7K
• Cisco MDS Fiber Channel Switches: 9300, 9500
• Cisco ASA Firewalls: 5500, X Series

Design, configure, deploy, and maintain VMware Private Cloud Infrastructure:
• VMware ESXi / vSphere 5.x, 6.x Virtualization
• Apple Mac, HP G6,G8,G9 Blade Servers
• EMC, NetApp, Flash Storage Systems (SAN/NAS)

Respond to Tier 2 customer support issue escalations via ticket, chat, telephone:
• Layer 2 Network configuration (TCP/IP / VLAN)
• Layer 1 Network infrastructure (cabling, switch ports, optics, etc.)
• Firewall / VPN configuration
• Infrastructure performance

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in all aspects of LAN/WAN Internetworking. CCNA / CCNP desired.
• Minimum 2 years of experience with VMware virtualization, or other Hypervisor. You will potentially be required to complete a VMware VCP class and certification if you don’t already have one.
• Fluency in Internet networking subject matter TCP/IP, Layer 2, Layer 3, Firewalls, etc.
• Fluency in various Operating Systems (Linux / OS X a big PLUS).
• Ability to perform physical tasks associated with this sort of job, including moving / lifting hardware.
• Excellent oral and written skills w/ friendly personality to communicate with customers effectively.
• Unquestionable integrity... Maturity, credibility, confidence. Always do the right thing, and on time.
• Desire to get some 'real' hands on experience in a very fun, rapidly growing environment, where there is no ceiling in terms of what you can accomplish and achieve.
• Strong logic and troubleshooting skills.

COMPENSATION: $25-$45/Hr + full health benefits depending on your level of expertise and skill-set.
HOURS: We have an openings for 1st Shift (8AM – 4PM) This is a Full Time position, and there will be some on-call work required.

Prior job experience is not required (but you definitely need the skills), so perhaps if you are a student looking for a flexible position to get some real experience - in many areas, this might be a great opportunity for you.

JOB TITLE:
Data Center Technical Agent

OS X, Windows, PC Hardware, Cabling
JOB LOCATION: Las Vegas, NV

You will be working with the Operations and Customer care team at MacStadium/Macminicolo in a Service Provider / IAAS / data center& Hosting environment. In this role, your primary responsibility is hands on support of incoming Customer issues and inquiries as a Tier 1 technical liaison.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Respond to Tier 1 Technical support issues via ticket, chat, telephone as necessary:
• Troubleshoot to isolate, identify, and resolve root cause of issues.
• Communicate effectively concerning general pre-sales service inquiries.
• General Network Configuration (IPv4 Addressign, Subnet, Gateways, DNS)
• General and advanced OS X Operating System configuration
• General Windows, VMware, Linux System Configuration
• Hardware Upgrades and Troubleshooting (RAM, Hard Drive, SSD)
• Layer 1 Network infrastructure (cabling, switch ports, optics, etc.)

Deployment of Servers into Datacenter environment:
• Physically remove / install servers as part of customer issue resolution and new build.
• Assist in volume, mass deployment server host images per customer requirements.

Assist with physical datacenter Infrastructure build-out:
• Rack / Stack assembly and installation
• Low voltage Cat5 / Cat6 / Fiber cable installation
• Infrastructure testing, labeling, documentation

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• College and/or advanced Technical education preferred but not required.
• 2+ years of operational and technical experience in an IT environment required.
• IT Certifications such as CCNA, MCSE, Server +, etc are desired.
• Demonstrate basic understanding of TCP/IP, Layer 2 switching, and Layer 3 Routing.
• Fluency in various Operating Systems (Linux / OS X a big PLUS).
• Ability to perform physical tasks associated with this sort of job, including moving / lifting hardware.
• Excellent oral and written skills w/ friendly personality to communicate with customers effectively.
• Unquestionable integrity... Maturity, credibility, confidence. Always do the right thing, and on time.
• Desire to get some 'real' hands on experience in a very fun, rapidly growing environment, where there is no ceiling in terms of what you can accomplish and achieve.
